Maui is the second largest island in the Hawaiian Archepelago, covering more than 700 square miles. It’s known for being an exceptional whale-watching hub because of the famous Humpback whales that choose to winter along Maui’s shores – just like thousands of tourists do each year as well. Once you venture off the sandy beaches of Maui’s beautiful shoreline, the rest of the island transforms into a green mountainous rainforest with a tropical beauty that can rival any place on Earth.

Maui has a population of just under 150,000 people, for whom the agricultural industry is their mainstay. Coffee beans, fresh flowers, papaya and sugarcane are just some of the cash crops that keeps Maui’s economy afloat. Tourism is the second industry leader on Maui, with some three million people visiting the island each year. Maui has been named Best Island In The World thirteen times over the years by many popular tourist magazines. We’re going to show you ten of the top places to visit on Maui and what about the island makes it the best in the world year after year.
