Brighton is a vibrant, beautiful and action packed city full of exciting, exuberant and extraordinary things to do all year round! There all so many places to go in Brighton and so many things to do, you may have to keep coming back to fit everything in. Also with the abundances of festivals and events happening all around the city, there’s always something new and exciting for you to experience whilst here.

Brighton beach is famed throughout Britain as being one of the best, and has seen the likes of Fatboy slim, DJ Yoda and Gogol Bordello grace its shores doing amazing exclusive gigs right on the beach. The beach is a massive focal point for tourists and locals alike and during the summer months the parties and BBQs are nonstop here. But it’s not all about partying here, as there are many beach activities you can partake in such as surfing, swimming, volleyball, basketball, banana boat racing, skateboarding, bmx-ing, jet skiing, snorkelling, diving, fishing and even a bit of para-sailing for the more daring among you!

Brighton’s world famous pier is also a top, must-see attraction, with its hundreds of classic and new arcade games, enthralling rides and classic dolphin derby if you’re feeling lucky! You also have free access to the deckchairs here, where you can lay out and lazily sip cocktails and watch the sunset. You can also marvel at the spectacular views all across the ocean from here and see the legendary “West Pier” from here. All that remains of the “West Pier” is the charred skeleton of its former self, after a devastating fire in 2003. However, it does still look absolutely beautiful silhouetted by the sunset on summer evenings.

Brighton’s Fringe festival will be kicking off on 7th May and runs until 30th May and will be hosting many shows and workshops on a variety of subjects such as dance, comedy, theater, film, literature and children’s events for you to take part in. They will also be music from all over the world with many different genres for you to dance the night away too, so they’ll defiantly be something on to get your toes tapping.

Fancy a bit of shopping? Brighton “North Laines” district is teeming with independent, unique and altogether quirky traders and shops. All ranging from “Vegetarian Shoe” to “Hell’s Kitchen” and lots of designer boutiques. For any shopaholic Brighton is a utopia, as you can get many original and rare items in the infamous Laines that can’t be obtained anywhere else. Take a trip round “Snoopers Paradise” to dig out some priceless antiques and childhood memorabilia.

After you’ve had a hard days shopping, you can grab an authentic Italian coffee or fresh fruit smoothie from one of Brighton’s vast array of unusual and distinctive cafes and bars. I highly recommend a milkshake bar called “Shake Away” that does over 150 fantastic flavours of milkshakes that including Kit Kat, BlackJack and Bubblegum! If you’re in the mood for something stronger you could go to the “Evening Star” near the rail station and sink one of their famous cherry beers or 10% lagers!
